Heating & Hot water timer clocks
Time Control Programmers allow you to set 'On' and 'Off' time periods. One channel programmers switch the central heating and domestic hot water at the same time, two channel will allow switching at different times.
On every boiler installation we will fit the lastest energy efficiencey controls from radiator thermostatic valves to wireless room thermostats, giving you extra comfort while saving you extra on your heating bill.
Thermostatic Radiator Valve
Time Control Programmers allow you to set 'On' and 'Off' time periods. One channel programmers switch the central heating and domestic hot water at the same time, two channel will allow switching at different times.
Room Thermostat
According to the Energy Savings Trust (EST) turning your room thermostat down and reducing your room temperature by just 1°C could cut your heating bills by up to 10% which typically saves around £55 per year.
A standard thermostat simply allows the heating system to come on or off depending on the room temperature, a separate control (Programmer) is usually used in conjunction with the thermostat so the boiler is only on at certain times. Programmable thermostats combine both functions and switch the boiler on and off when programmed and depending on the room temperature.
Programmable Thermostat
So, for example, you may choose a lower temperature overnight while the family are all asleep, but then have the house already a few degrees warmer as everyone gets up for breakfast.
This will not only give you maximum control and optimise your home warmth and comfort; it will also yet again potentially save you significant energy and money.
Cylinder Thermostat
If your hot water is stored in a cylinder, a cylinder thermostat will prevent it being hotter than it needs to be: once the water has reached the temperature you have set, the heat supply from the boiler will be turned off. This saves you...........wait for it.............energy and money!
Zone control
Save money by not overheating parts of your home that are unoccupied or need lower temperatures, such as bedrooms or rooms with lots of glazing.
For example: You can have separate heating circuits plumbed to the radiators in zones for different areas of your home - each area with a separate zone on the programmers and a room thermostat for each zone, or consider using more than one programmable thermostat to drive each zone.
A programmable thermostat combines both temperature and time control. This type of thermostat allows you to pre-set different temperatures for different times - basically you can set your heating requirements around your lifestyle.
